MSC Software Corporation was formed in 1963 and was awarded the original contract from NASA to commercialize the finite element analysis (FEA) software known as Nastran (NASA Structural Analysis). MSC pioneered many of the technologies that are now relied upon by industry to analyze and predict stress and strain, vibration & dynamics, acoustics, and thermal analysis in our flagship product, MSC Nastran.
Over our rich history, MSC has developed or acquired many other well known CAE applications including Patran, Adams, Marc, Dytran, Fatigue, SimXpert, SimDesigner, SimManager, Easy5, Sinda, and Actran. The ACS Group designs, manufactures, markets and supports one of the most comprehensive lines of auxiliary products for the plastics processing industry. Formed through a series of acquisitions, the ACS Group maintains an expansive product line, which includes size reduction equipment (granulators and shredders), material conveying equipment, metering and blending devices, heat exchangers (mold temperature controls units and chillers), drying systems, and presses. These products are marketed under such recognizable brand names as AEC, Sterling, Sterlco, Cumberland, Economizer, Wabash and Carver.

In contrast, the ACS Group offers a comprehensive product mix, which allows our company to be a solution provider, rather than just an equipment vendor, for a process-critical industry. Established in Cambridge, UK, NCG CAM Solutions Ltd provides CAM software solutions, offering all the tools needed to manufacture prototypes, models, moulds, dies, patterns and finished products. Our specialist area is 3D HSM CAM with our product NCG CAM.
All of our staff have a wealth of CAM experience, having worked in the CADCAM and engineering industry for many years. This includes our support team who have worked on the shop floor using CAM software on live jobs, so are able to provide an excellent back up and support service for the software.
Design Simulation Technologies (DST) was founded in 2005 with the mission of providing physics based simulation technology to groups of potential users who have not had access to the benefits of this technology due to the high cost or complexity of similar products.
In December 2005, DST acquired certain rights from MSC.Software for the Interactive Physics, Working Model 2D, and Dynamic Designer Motion products. DST has continued to develop, support and sell these products to a worldwide market.
In 2011 DST acquired certain rights from MSC.Software to its visualNastran 4D product which had been off the market for a number of years. DST updated the product and launched it in 2012 under the SimWise name consisting of three products, SimWise Motion, SimWise FEA, and SimWise 4D.
SimWise is a CAD independent product, with the ability to obtain geometric design data from many different CAD systems, which performs 3D dynamic motion simulation and structural analysis. The 4D product tightly integrates these two technologies in a single environment allowing the stresses that result from dynamic loads induced by motion to be easily calculated. Integration with Matlab/Simulink allows mechanical systems that are controlled by electronic controls to be completely simulated.
